<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, as for substrates having light-emitting elements formed thereon, when the substrates having sealed areas around the light-emitting elements are arranged in a longitudinal direction of a latent image carrier, gaps between the light-emitting elements arranged on different substrates cannot be narrower than the width of the sealed area so that images of the light-emitting elements cannot be formed freely in the longitudinal direction of the latent image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: In an exposure heads including: a first and second light-emitting element substrates in which light-emitting elements are arranged two-dimensionally in a first direction and in a second direction tilted relative to the first direction; and an imaging unit provided with an imaging optical system for imaging light from the light-emitting elements, a first end surface of the first light-emitting element substrate extends in the first direction and a second end surface thereof extends in a direction different from that of the first end surface by 90°, and a first end surface of the second light-emitting element substrate extends in the first direction and a second end surface thereof extends in a direction different from that of the first end surface by 90°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
