<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for a transfer assisting device capable of stabilizing an arm when an abnormality occurs in a battery cell. <P>SOLUTION: The control system for a transfer assisting device includes: a drive unit 62 of the arm 4; a fixing unit 63 of the arm 4; a first power supply device 64 for supplying a power source to the drive unit 62; a bypass circuit 64d provided in parallel with a battery cell 64b possessed by the first power supply device 64; a switching unit 64e for connecting the battery cell 64b or the battery circuit 64d with other battery cells 64a and 64c of the first power supply device 64 in series; an abnormality detection unit 66 of the battery cell 64b; and a control unit 67 for controlling the drive unit 62, the fixing unit 63 and the switching unit 64e.
