<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device that allows a driver's own vehicle to safely cross a railroad crossing where a road on which the driver's own vehicle is travelling and a railroad line cross each other. <P>SOLUTION: A driving support device, which supports driving of a driver's own vehicle before a railroad crossing where a road on which the driver's own vehicle is travelling and a railroad line cross each other, comprises: approaching vehicle determination means 15c that, when there is a service road along the railroad line ahead of the railroad crossing, acquires presence/absence information on an approaching vehicle from the service road, and determines whether or not there is a vehicle approaching from the side road based on the presence/absence information; and notification means 16 and 17 that notify of the presence of the approaching vehicle when it is determined by the approaching vehicle determination means that there is the approaching vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
