A second communication section (12) performs wireless communication with one or more other mobile communication terminals capable of wireless communication with the base station at a lower power than the communication section (11). A control section (14) causes the communication section (12) to acquire the remaining amount of battery of the other mobile communication terminals. If the remaining amount of the battery of the own terminal (10) is the largest, the control section (14) causes the communication sections (11, 12) to relay traffic between each of the other mobile communication terminals and the base station.
