<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar code scanner assembly capable of accurately deciphering a bar code wherever the bar code is printed on a film. <P>SOLUTION: An assembly for supplying a packaging film having a bar code to a packaging machine is combined with a joining machine to which the film is fitted from a roll for supply to the machine. A bar code scanner 19 extends orthogonally to the film, and includes a plurality of cameras.
