<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet lamp device that can maintain temperature of a metal base as predetermined. <P>SOLUTION: In the ultraviolet lamp device, an end part 12 of an ultraviolet lamp 10 is loaded on a plate-like metal base 13, which 13, then, is cooled by a cooling mechanism 20. The cooling mechanism 20 includes a cooling body 21 with corrosion resistance containing flow channels 24 of cooling liquid inside, and a heat-transfer body 22 with a higher heat conductivity than that of the cooling body 21 and arranged between the metal base 13 and the cooling body 21.
