<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device offering a more excellent image. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes: a display portion including a plurality of display pixels; and a liquid crystal barrier portion including a plurality of barrier regions each extending in a first direction tilting relative to a direction where the display pixels are arranged, and transmitting and blocking light. The liquid crystal barrier portion includes a liquid crystal layer, and first and second electrode layers having this liquid crystal layer held therebetween.
