<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus and communication system capable of performing pseudo full duplex communication in an asymmetric transmission path. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus comprises sequence number storage means, and sequence number update means. The sequence number storage means stores a first sequence number used for communication. Generation means generates a first data unit including data and the first sequence number when transmission of the data is requested. Transmission means transmits the first data unit to an external device. Reception means receives a second data unit including a second sequence number from the external device. The sequence number update means updates the stored first sequence number by using the second sequence number.
