<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater detection device, a fish finder, an underwater detection method and a program which enable detection of a fish or a depth as well as determination of bottom sediment to be accurately performed with a single device. <P>SOLUTION: A fish finder 1 generates transmission signals for detecting a school of fish as well as for determining seafloor sediment through a transmission section 14. The fish finder 1 outputs the generated signals to a transducer 16 and the same: transmits ultrasonic waves for detecting the school of fish as well as for determining the seafloor sediment; and receives reflected waves thereof. The fish finder 1 enables a pulse width of a seafloor echo to be longer than the pulse width of a fish echo with respect to the received reflected waves and thereby detecting the school of fish and determining the seafloor sediment from each echo through a signal processing section 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
