摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Ca-containing &alpha;-sialon phosphor having a fluorescence peak wavelength of 602-605 nm and showing higher external quantum efficiency than conventional phosphors. <P>SOLUTION: The Ca-containing &alpha;-sialon phosphor is represented by the general formula: Ca<SB POS="POST">x</SB>Eu<SB POS="POST">y</SB>Si<SB POS="POST">12-(m+n)</SB>Al<SB POS="POST">(m+n)</SB>O<SB POS="POST">n</SB>N<SB POS="POST">16-n</SB>(wherein 1.37&le;x&le;2.60, 0.16&le;y&le;0.20, 3.60&le;m&le;5.50, 0&le;n&le;0.30, and m=2x+3y), and is obtained as follows: a Ca-containing &alpha;-sialon precursor is preobtained by firing a mixture of a silicon nitride powder, a europium source and a calcium source in an inert gas atmosphere, the Ca-containing &alpha;-sialon precursor is mixed with an aluminum source and fired again in an inert gas atmosphere to obtain a Ca-containing &alpha;-sialon fired product, and this fired product is further heat treated in an inert atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
