<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device which can inhibit light from passing through a barrier to reach a light-receiving part. <P>SOLUTION: A solid state image pickup device 1 comprises a semiconductor substrate 3 on which a plurality of light receiving parts (PDs) are formed, a wiring layer 5 formed on the semiconductor substrate 3, color filters 7 formed on the wiring layer 5 correspondingly to the light receiving parts (PDs) of the semiconductor substrate 3, respectively and barriers 9 each formed between color filters 7. The barrier 9 has a lower layer part 29 and an upper layer part 31. The lower layer part 29 has a top face modified to become a modified layer and between the modified layer and the upper layer part 31, a boundary face 27 that promotes reflection of light invading from outside is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
