SKEW CORRECTION DEVICE, SHEET HANDLING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve skew correction performance for a folded sheet without lowering the productivity of the folded sheet.

SOLUTION: A skew correction device includes a sheet conveying roller 1' arranged in a sheet conveying path; an entry roller 1 arranged downstream of the conveying roller 1' in a sheet conveying direction and driven separately from the sheet conveying roller 1'. When a sheet P is unfolded paper, the skew correction device performs first skew correction for correcting a skew by making a tip Pb of the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveying roller 1' abut on the entry roller 1 that is stopped. When a sheet Pz is Z folded paper, the skew correction device performs second skew correction for correcting the skew by making a tip of the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveying roller 1' abut on the entry roller 1, and reversing the rotation of the entry roller 1 at preset timing.
