<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating the drying state of a hollow fiber bundle in a process of producing a hollow fiber membrane, capable of simply and minutely evaluating the drying state of the hollow fiber bundle spun by a wet or wet and dry film formation method. <P>SOLUTION: The evaluating method includes immersing the hollow fiber bundle after coagulation before drying treatment in an aqueous fluorescent agent, drying and then irradiating with an ultraviolet ray after drying to confirm a fluorescent area.
