<p>An angular acceleration detecting element (1) includes a rotating weight (2), a fixed part (4), a support beam (3), and a detection unit (5). The rotating weight (2) rotates around a (Z)-axis with respect to the fixed part (4) by the action of inertia force due to the angular acceleration around the (Z)-axis. The fixed part (4) is provided on a position separated from the rotating weight (2). The support beam (3) is provided between the fixed part (4) and the rotating weight (2) on an (X-Y) plane, and elastically supports the rotating weight (2) with respect to the fixed part (4). The detection unit (5) outputs a detection signal in response to stress generating on the support beam (3). The center of gravity of the rotating weight (2) as viewed from the (Z)-axis direction overlaps the support beam (3).</p> |
