<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter substrate that can prevent color mixture even when a thick color filter layer is provided, and provide an electro-optic device including the color filter substrate and an electronic appliance including the electro-optic device. <P>SOLUTION: In a counter substrate 20 of a liquid crystal device, a color filter layer 28 is provided in a region defined by a light-blocking protrusion 29 in which a light-transmitting layer 291 and a metallic light-blocking layer 292 are stacked. A side face 291a of the light-transmitting layer 291 forms a reflection surface 291e by the difference in refractive index between the light-transmitting layer 291 and the color filter layer 28. Therefore, even though the light obliquely enters the color filter layer 28, the light is reflected on the reflection surface 291e and does not travel to an adjacent pixel 100a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
