<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the setting information of an image forming apparatus that has been taken out to an external device cannot be properly reflected in the other device. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus stores setting information received from an external device in a temporary region, compares device identification information acquired from the setting information with the device identification information of the image forming apparatus, and stores the setting information in a database after determining a reflection level used to reflect each setting included in the setting information stored in the temporary region.
