<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal continuously variable transmission capable of changing speed by tilting a trunnion by power of a motor, while enabling reduction in the size and cost in the variator input shaft direction. <P>SOLUTION: In this toroidal continuously variable transmission, the trunnion 15 has a trunnion shaft 29 (O') of a caster crank with a caster angle, a reduction gear 102 and the motor 100 are arranged in parallel to the trunnion shaft, and as the power of the motor 100 is transmitted to the trunnion shaft via the reduction gear 102, the trunnion 15 is tilted to change speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
