<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow only a user per se to use a personal digital assistant such as a mobile phone, a tablet terminal, or an electronic book reader. <P>SOLUTION: A personal digital assistant 1 comprises a touch panel type operation panel 5 for which a touch panel mode and a fingerprint sensor mode are available as a shared mode. For a user, a fingerprint sensor function for authenticating a fingerprint of the user is integrated and the fingerprint sensor mode and the touch panel mode are available as the shared mode. The operation panel is configured to be turned into the fingerprint sensor mode when the personal digital assistant is powered on, and to display a fingerprint sensor section 12 on its predetermined point and by pressing the fingerprint sensor section for a predetermined time, fingerprint information is acquired and fingerprint authentication is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
