<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and accurately take over the number of times a starter is driven, which has been counted, to a new unit when a unit for counting the number of times the starter is driven is replaced. <P>SOLUTION: A starter control unit 11 which counts the number of times a starter 3 is driven and stores it in a nonvolatile memory 23 transmits drive count information indicating the number of times the starter is driven, to a plurality of units 12-17 which are connected to the unit 11 through a communication cable 27. In each of the units 12-17, the drive count stored in the memory 23 of each of the units is updated based on the drive count information. When the starter control unit 11 determines, at start-up, that the drive count is not stored in the memory 23 of each of the units, a drive count request is transmitted to the other units 12-17, and in response to the drive count request, the largest one of the drive counts transmitted from the other units 12-17 is stored in the memory 23 of the unit 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
