<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device capable of detecting a phase current stably in each of a plurality of three-phase motors by a one-shunt current detection method in an inexpensive configuration compared to a system having current sampling means for each group of the plurality of three-phase motors. <P>SOLUTION: When a PWM pulse is applied to one of a plurality of three-phase motors, applied-pulse delaying means 504 and 507 delay application of a PWM pulse to another three-phase motor by a predetermined delay time, and repeat the same sequentially for the other three-phase motors. A current sensor 24 detects a current for extracting a coil current equivalent value which corresponds to a coil current flowing in each coil of the plurality of three-phase motors which the PWM pulses are applied to. Sampling means 511 samples detected current values, isns, for each of the plurality of three phase motors at a different timing.
