<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regeneration treatment method for molding sand for regenerating artificially-produced molding sand with good quality and suppressing discharge of substances, such as cadmium, hexavalent chrome, lead, fluorine, boron and copper, during the regeneration treatment. <P>SOLUTION: In the regeneration treatment method for molding sand for regenerating the molding sand collected after casting by using a mechanical regeneration device, a minute powder material is added to the molding sand as an abrasive for the regeneration treatment. The molding sand consists primarily of at least one of mullite, alumina, steatite and alumina silicate, and the minute powder material consists primarily of at least magnesium oxide, calcium oxide and calcium aluminate and functions as an insolubilizer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
