<p>The method involves introducing the acceleration of a vehicle after the target object loss after the expiry of a constant holding phase, during which the driving speed (V-ist) of the vehicle is constantly held on the value of the actual driving speed for time point of the target object loss. The constant holding phase takes long until the predetermined desired speed (V-soll) is confirmed by the driver or the driver requests a new desired speed.</p>
