<p>Disclosed in the present invention are a method and device for performing the neighboring cell handover and reporting the measurement information, which involves radio communication technical field. The present invention is used to solve the problem that how to reduce the time needed by the base station for switching to a target cell. A base station can transmit a control signal to a terminal according to the received restriction handover in-system information; the terminal receives the control signal transmitted by the base station, and transmits a measurement report to said base station when neighboring cell handover is needed; the base station receives the measurement report reported by the terminal, and switches from the cell in which the terminal located to a neighboring cell in the one or multiple neighboring cells, according to the said measurement report. Thus, the method and device provided by the present invention is avail to reduce the time needed by the base station for switching to a target cell.</p> |
