摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a method for producing high-purity porous silica and silicon derived from rice husks, and more particularly, the present invention relates to a method of synthesizing silicon by extracting silica from a cooking liquor separated in a cooking treatment of rice-husk alkali, and synthesizing silicon from same by performing a reduction reaction. Through a process that is simplified according to the production method of the present invention, silica and silicon that are derived from rice husks may be produced, and in particular, an improved metallurgical grade silicon that does not contain boron or phosphorous may be produced through an acid treatment that greatly reduces the presence of impurities. In addition, the silicon produced by means of the present invention may be used in the manufacture of low-cost solar cells, and since alkali metal is used as a reducing agent, the reduction of silica to silicon is possible at a relatively low temperature, and the initial porous structure of the silica may be retained so that the silicon may be employed as a cathode material for rechargeable batteries.</p>
