<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress swelling near an edge when an image is formed on a medium by ejecting a photocurable ink. <P>SOLUTION: A printing apparatus includes: a chromatic ink ejecting nozzle that ejects a chromatic photocuring ink on the medium; an achromatic ink ejecting nozzle that ejects an achromatic photocuring ink on the medium; and an irradiation section that irradiates light to the chromatic photocuring ink discharged on the medium. At a time of applying the chromatic photocuring ink to print an image on the medium, the printing apparatus performs processing for ejecting the chromatic photocuring ink on the medium, processing for ejecting the achromatic photocuring ink on the medium from the achromatic ink ejecting nozzle in such a way as to apply the achromatic photocuring ink along the edge of an application range of the chromatic photocuring ink, and processing for irradiating the light from the irradiation section to cure the photocuring ink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
