<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a printing operation when a predetermined number of pages whose print quality does not satisfy a predetermined criterion are generated, because it seems that the occurrence frequency of failures, such as a case in which, due to the original image data, the print quality does not satisfy a predetermined criterion in the same pages and a case in which, due to a printer, the print quality does not successively satisfy a predetermined criterion in successive pages, is sufficiently higher than of a case where dust is scanned. <P>SOLUTION: A print control apparatus that controls a printing unit and a control method of the print control apparatus are provided. The print quality of a print image printed by the printing unit is determined. The number of pages of each of sets whose print quality is determined not to satisfy the prescribed criterion is counted.
