<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium capable of improving recording density in a radial direction even if it has a separated guide layer. <P>SOLUTION: An optical recording medium 4A includes: an information recording layer L1 that is exposed to a light beam B2 of a wavelength λ2 collected by a light collection optical system 38; and a guide layer Lg that is exposed to a light beam B1 of a wavelength λ1(λ1>λ2) collected by the light collection optical system 38. The guide layer Lg has a guide track including a pit array.
