PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water quality management device and a water quality management method for nuclear power plant capable of suppressing generation of a stress corrosion crack or progress of a generated stress corrosion crack of a structural material during a temperature rising process for starting the plant and a temperature dropping process for stopping the plant by using simple and economical means and a nuclear power plant with the water quality management device.

SOLUTION: In the water quality management method for nuclear power plant, a nitrogen compound is added into reactor water and brought into contact with a catalyst during a process of increasing the reactor water temperature for starting a nuclear reactor 20A and a process of decreasing the reactor water temperature for stopping the nuclear reactor 20A.
