<p>[Problem] Since a non-aqueous patch includes lidocaine without dissolution in a crystalline state, such non-aqueous patch has poor skin permeability, and therefore a high concentration of lidocaine is formulated. Lidocaine has been noted to have an adverse effect on the heart. Furthermore, lidocaine has side effects such as shock resulting from the use of high concentrations thereof over a long time, rubefaction, and irritation. For these reasons, external medicines containing lidocaine of more than 5 mass percent are specified as dangerous drugs. Accordingly, lidocaine cannot be used as a household (non-prescription) drug. [Solution] A non-aqueous patch comprises a solubilizer consisting of organic acid and polyalcohol, and lidocaine and/or a reactant thereof in a base. Thereby, the non-aqueous patch demonstrates muscle pain relief efficacy.</p> |
