PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce abutting noise when abutting a rotary lever to a stopper member in a position holding apparatus for rotary lever.

SOLUTION: A position holding apparatus for rotary lever comprises a rotary lever (25) and a torsion spring (26) and is capable of holding the rotary lever (25) elastically at two positions of a first position (position (a)) and a second position (position (c)). The torsion spring (26) includes a winding portion (26a), and a first arm portion (26b) and a second arm portion (26c) which extend from the winding portion and are opposed to each other with an engaging part (25g) of the rotary lever (25) interposed therebetween. In the first arm portion (26b), a peak part (26b1) is formed in its intermediate part. In the second arm portion (26c), an energizing part (linear part 26c1) is formed. Therefore, an energizing force by the energizing part (26c1) can be operated upon the rotary lever (25) as a brake force against an energizing force by the peak part (26b1).
