<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathing apparatus that has excellent refreshing effects and allows bathing for long periods. <P>SOLUTION: The bathing apparatus A includes: a bathtub 10, the inner surface of which is deformable as a result of being provided with a cushioning layer; and an air bubble supplying device 60 for supplying air bubbles to form a bubble layer Lb on the upper surface of the hot water layer Lh in the bathtub 10. In the bathtub 10, the bubble layer Lb is formed on the hot water layer Lh by the air bubble supplying device 60, thereby refreshing effects can be obtained by soaking the body in the hot water layer Lh and the bubble layer Lb. Since the inner surface of the bathtub 10 is allowed to be deformed owing to the cushioning layer, even when soaked in the bathtub 10 for a long period, pain or discomfort is not caused.
