The service unit (1) has an internal control electronics (27) electrically attached to a humidity sensor unit (26) that detects humidity of compressed air. A control valve device (17) controls a compressed air flow, and is designed as an integral component of a monitoring module (5). The control valve device is electrically connected to the control electronics such that the control electronics specifies an operating mode of the control valve device under consideration of moisture contents e.g. liquid particles or solid particles such as foreign particles, of the compressed air.
