The needle (11) has a nozzle needle pin (14) comprising a partially concave contour in a region of a longitudinal section along a longitudinal axis (10). The concave contour of the needle pin is gradually changed into a conical contour in a transition region (20) at a seat portion (13). The concave contour of the needle pin comprises defined curvature radius. The region of the needle pin with the concave contour is adjoined with a region of the needle pin with the conical contour in a direction opposite to the seat portion. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an injection valve (2) a method for manufacturing an injection valve with a nozzle needle.
