<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromedical apparatus for supplying electrical power to an instrument to achieve a safe transition from the ignition of a plasma in an incision mode to the combustion of the plasma during a cutting mode. <P>SOLUTION: The electromedical apparatus includes an ignition recognizing means formed of a sensor device 26. The ignition recognizing means switches an HF generator 18 provided in the apparatus 12, from an incision operating mode to a cutting operating mode immediately when ignition is recognized. The switching is brought about by the switching of an HF modulation preferably from a low crest factor of less than 2.5 in the incision operating mode to a high crest factor of above 2.5 in the cutting operating mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
