<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable and the like which facilitates branching work, even if a tension member and the like is embedded in a protection layer. <P>SOLUTION: At a cross-section generally center position of an optical fiber cable 1, a plurality of cored optical fibers 3 is disposed. On an outer periphery of the cored optical fibers 3, a protection layer 11 is provided. A tension member 9 is embedded in the protection layer 11. An opening portion 5 is provided at a part of the protection layer 11. In a generally cylindrical protection layer 11, the inside and the outside are communicated through the opening portion 5. A sheath 7 is provided on an outer periphery of the protection layer 11. The sheath 7 covers the whole of the protection layer 11, and blocks the opening portion 5. In a cross-section, the protection layer 11 (a circular shape when the opening portion 5 does not exist) and the sheath 7 are concentrically formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
