<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter substrate capable of preventing peeling of an inorganic protection film even when the inorganic protection film is used as a protection film to a color filter layer, an electro-optic device, electronic equipment, and a method for manufacturing the electro-optic device. <P>SOLUTION: An element substrate 10 of a liquid crystal device is provided with a plurality of columns of inorganic light shielding layers 7a and color filter layers 15, in which the inorganic light shielding layers 7a and the color filter layers 15 are covered with an inorganic protection film 45. Here, the color filter layers 15 are provided without overlapping with the surfaces 7e of the inorganic light shielding layers 7a. Thus, the inorganic light shielding layers 7a contact the inorganic protection film 45, and contact area between the inorganic light shielding layers 7a and the inorganic projection film 45 is wide on both sides of the color filter layer 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
