<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a state detection method and a state detection device for a power storage device, capable of accurately determining a charge/discharge history of the power storage device. <P>SOLUTION: A probe pulse is impressed to an accumulator battery 10 by a step S6 after stopping the charge/discharge, OCV measurement values are time integrated at steps S9-S11 to calculate OCV integrated values S<SB POS="POST">ts1_ts2</SB>. In a step S12, OCV at a time tc is measured to make it to OCV_base. In a step S13, the OCV change integrated value DS<SB POS="POST">ts1_ts2</SB>is calculated from the S<SB POS="POST">ts1_ts2</SB>and the OCV_base.
