WIRE SAW DEVICE, AND CUTTING METHOD

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a cutting speed of a work while reducing a breakage rate of a cutting wire in cutting work using a swing type wire saw device.

SOLUTION: The wire saw device 1 cuts a workpiece W by pressing to the cutting wire 3 while making the cutting wire 3, wound around a plurality of wire guides 2 in a spiral shape, travel, and at the same time swinging the cutting wire 3 together with the wire guides 2. The wire saw device 1 includes a control means 8 which controls a position of a holding means 51 for holding the workpiece W in response to a swing angle of the cutting wire 3 so that the workpiece W has an arc-shaped machining shape.
