<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly detect whether or not the number of a sheet bundle is single or plural immediately after the operation start irrespective of the size of a document sheet without the need of a plurality of sensors and increasing the size of an apparatus to reduce cost. <P>SOLUTION: A document reading and recording apparatus includes: a document feeder for feeding sheet-like documents placed on a document placing part sheet by sheet; a reader for reading an image of the document fed by the document feeder; a feeding roller for feeding a recording sheet; a recorder for recording an image based on the image information read by the reader on the sheet fed by the feeding roller; a movement amount detector for detecting a movement amount of a document relative to the placed document from a side opposite the document feeder; and a controller for stopping feeding of a sheet by the feeding roller, based on the detection by the movement amount detector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
