<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imager that enables highly accurate focal detection of phase difference system while ensuring the light reception efficiency of the imager, and also able to prevent image quality deterioration by reducing reflection from a shading member. <P>SOLUTION: The imager comprises: a photographing pixel for forming an image of a subject by photoelectric conversion of light from a photographic lens; and a focus detection pixel for receiving light passed through the area of part of the exit pupil of the photographic lens. The focus detection pixel comprises: a photoelectric conversion section; an electrode part provided at an end of the photoelectric conversion section so as to cover the area of at least part of the photoelectric conversion section; a first transparent insulation film covering the photoelectric conversion section and the electrode; a shading section formed on the first transparent insulation film and covering the photoelectric conversion section so as to avoid the electrode part; and a second transparent insulation film covering the first transparent insulation film and the shading section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
