<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the adsorption and desorption ability by restraining a temperature rise of the adsorbent when adsorption while improving the heating efficiency of the adsorbent by effectively utilizing the heat discharged from a casing when heating an adsorbent with a heating means when desorption. <P>SOLUTION: A canister 10 includes: a casing 14 with an adsorption chamber 18 defined; an adsorbent 35 stored in the adsorption chamber 18 capable of performing adsorption or desorption of a fuel vapor; and a heater 37 for heating the adsorbent 35. The casing 14 includes: a tank port 20 for introducing a fuel vapor gas into the adsorption chamber 18; a purge port 21 for purging the fuel vapor from the adsorption chamber 18; and an atmosphere port 22 for introducing the air for purging into the adsorption chamber 18. A space chamber 40 is defined for entirely or partially covering the outer wall of the adsorption chamber 18 of the casing 14 so that the air for purging is introduced into the adsorption chamber 18 after passing through the space chamber 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
