<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display body physically and irreversibly changing a pattern, and making the unfair use thereof difficult. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the display body 1 comprising a heat source, a sealing layer, a layer of a hot-melt ink 14, a porous hiding layer 13, a transparent substrate 11 and a printed letter layer 12. The layer of the hot-melt ink 14 disposed in contact with the porous hiding layer 13 comprising a porous material changes into a liquid state by generating heat, and soaks into the porous hiding layer 13 so that a printed image with the hot-melt ink 14 appears on the surface of the porous hiding layer 13. Thus, after application of heat generating operation, the pattern with the hot-melt ink 14 is expressed on the surface layer of the display body after a prescribed time.
