<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a transmission apparatus more compact, wherein the transmission apparatus can transmit power applied to an input shaft to an output shaft while changing a change gear ratio to a plurality of stages. <P>SOLUTION: The second ring gear 32r of a second planetary gear mechanism 32 disposed between a first planetary gear mechanism 31 disposed on the side of the input shaft 34 and a third planetary gear mechanism 33 connected to the output shaft 35 is fixed by a brake B2 upon formation of the second speed which is a speed level lower than the third speed and the fifth speed, each of which is a variable speed level at which a first ring gear 31r is fixed by a brake B1. The brake B1 is disposed on the outer peripheral side of the second planetary gear mechanism 32 so that at least a part of the brake B1 overlaps with the second planetary gear mechanism 32 as viewed from a radial direction. The brake B2 is disposed on the outer peripheral side of the first planetary gear mechanism 31 so that at least a part of the brake B2 overlaps with the first planetary gear mechanism 31 as viewed from a radial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
