<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction port body of a vacuum cleaner wherein noise is reduced, and to provide the vacuum cleaner using the same. <P>SOLUTION: This suction port body of the vacuum cleaner includes: a rotary cleaning body having a sliding friction member frictionally sliding on a face to be cleaned; a drive part driving the rotary cleaning body; and a suction port body casing storing the rotary cleaning body. As a means transmitting drive force from the drive part to the rotary cleaning body, the rotary cleaning body is provided with a rotary cleaning body pulley, the drive part side is provided with a drive part pulley, and a belt connects both the pulleys.
