Provided is a glass plate for a thin film solar cell characterized in that the glass composition thereof comprises on a mass percent basis: 45-60% SiO2; 8.0%-18% (excluding 8%) Al2O3; 0-15% (excluding 15%) B2O3; 1-40% MgO + CaO + SrO + BaO; and 1-30% Na2O + K2O, and the strain point thereof is more than 580°C.
