<p>An extreme pressure additive composition for use in grease contains alkaline earth metal derivatives of 2,5-dimercapto-l,3,4-thiadiazole (DMTD) complexed to alkylene glycol fluids and or PAG fluids. In addition, additives for extreme pressure and antiwear contain a complex of alkali or alkaline earth metal derivatives of DMTD with alkylene glycol fluids and or PAG fluids, in combination with an organophosphorous compound.</p> |
