The forming fabric is constructed as a structure of intersecting threads or membrane or film. Sieve pores are formed in the forming fabric through openings in the membrane or film. The forming fabric has slightly permeable regions formed in random or quasi-random pattern. The regions are formed on a running side or on a machine side of the forming fabric. The regions are formed by one or more fully or partially filled sieve pores. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a forming fabric.
