<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reduction in size by reducing the number of terminals while maintaining the number of apparatuses that can be simultaneously used. <P>SOLUTION: An inverter device comprises: a pulse signal outputting circuit that converts a voltage pulse signal transmitted at a predetermined cycle to a current pulse signal and outputs the current pulse signal; an output terminal for outputting the current pulse signal converted from the voltage pulse signal outside; a reference potential terminal for providing a reference potential of the pulse signal outputting circuit; and a voltage detecting section interposed between the output terminal and the reference potential terminal. An external apparatus and a sensor are connected to each other in parallel or in series between the output terminal and the reference potential terminal. The pulse signal outputting circuit generates a pulse signal of which an output level varies between a first level and a second level lower than the first level and drives the external apparatus by varying a duty of the pulse signal. The inverter device executes protection operation based on voltages at both ends of the sensor that vary depending on a sensing state obtained from a voltage detected by the voltage detecting section within a period in which the output level of the pulse signal becomes the second level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
