<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering control system capable of applying appropriate steering reaction force torque according to a vehicle behavior, and maintaining the excellent steering operability even when a rapid steering operation beyond a neutral position is performed by a driver. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 15 of a controller 13 reads from a storage unit 14 the latest steering angle, first steering reaction force torque and second steering reaction force torque; causes a motor 7 to generate the first steering reaction force torque, when a sign of the steering angle and a sign of the first steering reaction force torque are different, and an absolute value of the first steering reaction force torque is less than an absolute value of the second steering reaction force torque; causes the motor 7 to generate the second steering reaction force torque, when the sign of the steering angle and the sign of the first steering reaction force torque are different, and the absolute value of the first steering reaction force is equal to or more than the absolute value of the second steering reaction force; and does not cause the motor 7 to generate the torque, when the sign of the steering angle and the sign of the first steering reaction force torque are same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
