<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine system for a vehicle that notifies the operator that traveling performance is likely to decreased due to shortage of a high octane number fuel. <P>SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine system for a vehicle includes: a fuel separating device 23 for separating a raw fuel into a high octane number fuel and a low octane number fuel; an internal combustion engine 10 having a fuel chamber 12 into which the high octane number fuel and the low octane number fuel are injected for operation; and an electronic control device 30 for variably controlling the amounts of high octane number fuel and low octane number fuel to be injected into the combustion chamber 12 of the internal combustion engine 10. The system further includes a permission switch 45 to be operated by the operator for selecting whether to permit injection of the high octane number fuel into the combustion chamber 12 of the internal combustion engine 10. When the permission switch 45 is set so as not to permit the injection of the high octane number fuel, the system controls so that the high octane number fuel is not injected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
